As part of the student teaching program, education majors spend a full semester in the classroom of a master teacher, assuming the teacher's instructional and non-instructional duties.The College also offers year-long internships.

Located nearby the college is Woodward Hall, currently the largest building on campus. It was dedicated in late 2005 and houses the College of Computing and Informatics, home to the national champion Cyber Defenders cyber security team.
